There is a great variety of condos and town homes in Allen. They run 1700-2500 square feet and are close to shopping and dining.

These properties are great for people who travel and don't want to worry about yard care and maintenance issues a house has. Some have as many as 4 bedrooms or as few as two. They start as low as $278k and are higher for newer with more amenities.

Allen has some of the best schools and shopping in the area. Allen has a home town feel
    although its very insightfully developed.

I have been a resident for over 24 years and selling real estate in the metroplex for as long. My children have attended Allen schools and gone on to attend University of Texas. When purchasing you want to work with an agent who is familiar with the area and can give you the ins and outs of your favorite developments.
  • A McDonald's, a neighborhood Walmart, a Sonic Drive-In, and a Winn Dixie grocery store, in 1990 when I moved to Allen, this was its claim to fame. With a population of about 19,000, it was truly a small town. But how that has changed...in a good way.

With incredible leadership from the mayor's office, the town has grown to become one of the most progressive communities of the Metroplex. And at the same time, Allen has retained a sense of that small town culture. You can watch a professional sports team play, go to the opera, or watch the Allen Eagles High School football team win another State Championship.

But you can also slip on your sneakers and walk down to the corner for a pizza or grab your fishing pole and try your luck at lakes all over town. Yeah...I am biased. But I can honestly say that there is no other community in the DFW Metroplex like Allen and no other place I would rather live.
