So as we watch the north side of I-30 and Dalrock contracting new buildings, the south side is still planning the housing development with lakeside property available for sale and for lease at some point I am sure.

Rowlett is a perfect spot for this as it is less than 30 minutes from downtown Dallas and easy access to I-30 which takes you completely across the DFW Metroplex just south of downtown Dallas. A nice drive, when it isn't traffic time anywhere between 6:00 am - 7:00 pm! Interesting to watch. Check out my photos of the progress of course unless you already drive by it daily!

Have you heard of the "Crystal Lagoons" Resort Water Parks? Crystal Lagoons was founded by Fernando Fischman, in 2007. The first one was 19-acres in San Alfonso de Mar, Chile and it broke the Guinness World Record for largest man-made lagoon. Since then, Crystal Lagoons has continued to break their own records by building bigger and better parks all over the world. It's based in Miami, FL but it's bringing a base to Dallas and other areas creating jobs and 10,000 living spaces as well.

I have put a link for you to read all about it. It is amazing and it is coming right here to the DFW metro-plex. One in Rowlett and the other undisclosed location. Stay tuned for photos as the groundbreaking construction has begun after a delay from starting in March on this year.
These photos will be named "The Crystal Lagoons"-"description". It is exciting!!

In the early 80's we would get in my best friends car and drive around a park on Lake Ray Hubbard that was packed every weekend! It took 2 hours to drive less than 3 miles! People were partying, playing music and enjoying the sun! Then the park shut down and I have not seen activity there in years!

All that is about to change as Bayside will be a destination for many people. They will be building an 8 acre Crystal Lagoon attraction that will transform into a water showdown every evening! They will transform my former play area with apartments, homes, resorts and an idillyic beach life right here in North Texas! No longer will we have to book a Caribbean vacation...we can enjoy one in our community!
